If you see the Miracast toggle grayed out in AllSync, and a message says your current network does not support this feature, this guide will help you get back to wireless sharing in no time. By the end of these steps, you should be able to enable Miracast in AllSync.
Before you start
-
Make sure you have access to your Wi-Fi router’s settings.
-
You’ll need to restart your i3CONNECT display and your sharing device (phone, tablet, or computer).
Instructions
-
Check your router’s Wi-Fi channel
-
Log in to your router’s management interface.
-
Set the Wi-Fi channel to a non-DFS channel. DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) channels can block Miracast. Avoid these channels:
-
Avoid channels: 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136, 140, and 144.
-
Restart your devices
-
Restart your Aspen 4 display and your own device.
-
After both devices reboot, try enabling Miracast in AllSync again.
-
-
Verify the fix
-
Check if the Miracast toggle is now available.
-
If it’s still grayed out, check for system updates on both devices.
-
Troubleshooting
-
If you’re not on a DFS channel and Miracast is still unavailable, double-check your router’s settings and ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
-
If you’re using a different i3CONNECT product, refer to its specific Miracast troubleshooting guide.
