Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) lets your devices find each other automatically on the same Wi-Fi network. This makes screen sharing, wireless casting, and collaboration a breeze. If your i3CONNECT display or other devices aren’t showing up, UPnP might be switched off on your router. If you’re using a wired connection or your devices are already visible, you don’t need these steps.
Instructions
-
Check your router’s admin page. Open a browser and enter your router’s IP address (often 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
-
Log in with your admin credentials. If you don’t know these, check your router label or manual.
-
Find the UPnP settings. Look for a section called “Advanced,” “Network,” or “NAT Forwarding.”
-
Enable UPnP. Toggle the UPnP setting to “On” or “Enabled.”
-
Save your changes. Click “Save” or “Apply.”
-
Restart your router. This helps apply the new settings.
-
Reconnect your devices. Make sure your i3CONNECT display and other devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Troubleshooting
-
If you can’t find UPnP settings, check your router’s manual or the manufacturer’s website.
-
Some routers may call this “multicast” or “device discovery.”
-
If enabling UPnP doesn’t work, your network may have additional restrictions—contact your IT team or i3CONNECT support for help.
