This article is only for the RX46-C AllSync Transmitter Dongle. Using these steps on other models may cause issues. Other models include RX45-H and RX45-C.
This guide walks you through updating the Thardware transmitter (PN 10010581, version 4.1, 5GHz). If you’re using a different model or version, please refer to the correct article for your device.
Before you start

Make sure you have:

A Windows computer with a USB-C port.

The latest firmware update ZIP package from i3CONNECT.

The AllSync Transmitter(s) you wish to update.

Download the firmware update tool and package to your computer.

Find out if your Windows CPU is 32-bit or 64-bit.
-
Connect only one transmitter at a time during the update.

Instructions

Unzip the downloaded package (above) onto your PC.

Launch the update tool (WiFi Transmitter Firmware Update Tool x64). If you’re on a 32-bit Windows OS, use the version without “x64”.

Connect the dongle (transmitter) into your computer’s USB-C port.

Detect the device. Click the “Connect” button in the update tool. The tool will auto-detect the attached Transmitter Dongle.

Enter firmware update mode. The tool will attempt to enter “Boot Mode”. The transmitter’s LED will flicker purple.

Start the firmware update when the “Fw Update” button becomes active. Click the button to begin the update. The LED will continue to flicker purple during the update.

Complete the update

When finished, a confirmation message appears. Click “OK”.

The transmitter’s LED will briefly turn white.

Exit and disconnect

Click the “X” in the top-right corner to close the update tool.

Remove the transmitter from your computer.

Repeat for additional transmitters from step 2.
Troubleshooting

If the device is not detected, ensure you’re using the correct model and that the USB-C port is working.

If the “Fw Update” button does not activate, check that all required files are in the same folder as the update tool.

If the LED does not flicker purple, unplug and reconnect the transmitter, then try again.
