Troubleshoot network issues with AllSync Transmitter HDMI/Type-C

This guide helps you resolve common network issues when using AllSync Transmitter HDMI/Type-C with your i3CONNECT display. This article is for IT managers, AV technicians, and users setting up wireless sharing with AllSync transmitters. By the end, you’ll know how to check WiFi compatibility, hotspot naming, and network congestion to get your AllSync transmitter working smoothly.

Before you start

Instructions

  1. Check WiFi compatibility for your transmitter model.

    • If you’re using a TX45 transmitter, confirm with your IT manager that the WiFi network is 2.4 GHz. TX45 does not support 5 GHz networks. Only the newer TX46 supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

  2. Review the i3CONNECT display hotspot name.

    • Ensure the hotspot name contains only numbers and case-sensitive letters. Avoid special characters such as +, ], /, ", TAB, and trailing spaces. The transmitter cannot read these characters during pairing.

  3. Reduce network congestion.

    • Too many devices (like meeting bars) on the same WiFi channel can cause interference. Check that the WiFi channel isn’t overloaded. If needed, manually assign devices to different channels for a more reliable connection.

  4. Restart the AllSync application after network changes.

    • If your i3CONNECT display receiver recently switched WiFi networks, close and restart the AllSync application to refresh the connection.

Troubleshooting

  • If you’re using a different wireless sharing solution or a non-i3CONNECT display, refer to the relevant product documentation.

  • For advanced network setup, see Chapter 5: i3ALLSYNC Advanced Network Configurations.

  • If pairing still fails after following these steps, contact your IT support or reach out to i3CONNECT support.
