Debug a display that appears to be malfunctioning

Let’s help you diagnose and resolve some common display hardware issues.

Before we start

  • Unplug power before reseating cables where possible. Avoid damaged cords and bent pins.

  • Have on hand a known‑good: power cable (Euro cable), a short USB‑C cable with DisplayPort Alt Mode support, a HDMI 2.1 cable, an Ethernet cable, and access to the display settings.

  • Document what you try: which port, which cable, and observed results. If you still need help, this will help us get you what you need faster.
