Removing faint fog from an LCD panel on a display
A faint fog on an LCD panel is typically a mild layer of vapor trapped between the polarizing filters and the backlight layers. Because it is a light haze rather than standing liquid, your chances of a full recovery are very high. However, you must proceed carefully to avoid permanent water staining or optical distortion.
This article is intended for technical specialists and users who notice a hazy or foggy appearance on their interactive display, often caused by rapid temperature changes or high humidity. This guide should not be used if there is visible pooling liquid or large droplets inside the screen; in those cases, contact support immediately.
By the end of these instructions, the vapor should be evaporated, and the screen clarity should be restored. If the fog persists or leaves permanent marks after following these steps, please contact our support team.
Before you start

Ensure you have a household fan available.

If possible, move a dehumidifier or air conditioner into the room to lower ambient humidity.
Instructions
1. Perform a safe 24-hour air-dry
Even though it is just a faint fog, do not rush to turn the display on yet.

Keep power disconnected by unplugging the display from the wall outlet.

Prop the display upright in its normal vertical viewing position so gravity does not shift moisture across the screen layers.

Maximize airflow by placing a household fan blowing directly at the back vents and the front screen.

Lower room humidity by running an air conditioner or dehumidifier in the same room to force the trapped vapor to evaporate outward.
2. Use the controlled power-on method
If the fog remains after 24 hours of active airflow, you can use the display’s natural operational heat to bake out the remaining haze. Only do this if there are no large droplets or pooling water at the bottom of the screen.

Plug in and power on the display and look closely at the picture.

Check for defects such as flickering, blinking, or vertical lines.
If you see any electrical artifacts, unplug the display immediately as this indicates moisture is shorting a circuit board.

Display a bright, static image (like a solid white screen) if the picture looks normal aside from the fog.

Let it warm up for 2 to 3 hours. The heat generated by the backlight will warm the display layers from the inside out, safely evaporating the faint fog.
Troubleshooting

Fog is still present after 3 hours of power: Repeat the 24-hour air-dry phase. Persistent moisture may require more time in a low-humidity environment.

Visible staining or "water marks": If the fog disappears but leaves behind streaks or spots, the internal layers may be stained. This requires professional service.

Display won't power on: Ensure the physical power switch (usually located near the power cable input) is toggled to the "ON" position.
