Set up your display for the first time with i3TOUCH X3

If you’re unboxing your i3TOUCH X3 and can’t connect to the internet during the initial setup, you’re in the right place. This guide is for anyone setting up an i3TOUCH X3 for the first time. If your device is already set up or you’re troubleshooting a different network issue, check our dedicated network troubleshooting articles instead.

By the end of these steps, your i3TOUCH X3 should be up and running with an active internet connection. If you still can’t connect, reach out to your IT team or contact i3CONNECT support.

Before you start

  • Make sure your i3TOUCH X3 is plugged in and powered on.

  • Have your Wi-Fi or Ethernet network details handy.

Instructions

  1. Power on your i3TOUCH X3 and start the setup wizard.

  2. When prompted for an internet connection, skip this step if you can’t connect. You can always connect later.

  3. Set the correct time and date for your location. This ensures updates and apps work smoothly.

  4. Complete the rest of the setup wizard.

  5. Once you reach the i3CONNECT Studio home screen, connect to your local internet:

    • Open the settings menu.

    • Select your Wi-Fi network or plug in an Ethernet cable.

    • Enter your network password if needed.

  6. Update your display to the latest firmware for best performance and security.

    • Go to Settings > System > Updates and follow the prompts.

Troubleshooting

If you still can’t connect to the internet after setup:

  • Double-check your network cables and Wi-Fi password.

  • Try restarting your i3TOUCH X3 and your router.

  • If your network uses advanced security settings, contact your IT administrator.

  • For persistent issues, contact i3CONNECT support.
