Need to update your i3TOUCH Ultra’s system firmware but can’t find the remote? No worries, this guide walks you through the process using just a USB stick and the panel’s power button.
This article is for IT admins, technicians, or anyone responsible for maintaining i3TOUCH Ultra displays. If your display is unresponsive, stuck in a boot loop, or you suspect hardware failure, contact i3CONNECT support before proceeding.
By the end of these steps, your i3TOUCH Ultra should be running the latest firmware. If the panel does not reboot or the update fails, see the troubleshooting section below.
Before you start
-
Use a USB 2.0 stick (minimum 4GB, SanDisk recommended), formatted as FAT32.
-
Download the correct firmware version for your Ultra 105 from the links below.

Instructions
-
Format your USB stick as FAT32.
Use a USB 2.0 stick with at least 4GB capacity. -
Download and extract the firmware.
Download the firmware file for your Ultra 105 (see links above). Extract the contents so you have an “upgrade_3588” folder in the root directory of your USB stick. -
Insert the USB stick into the display.
Plug the USB stick into a USB 2.0 port on the mainboard of the i3TOUCH Ultra. -
Power on and start the update.
With the display still off, press and hold the POWER button. Keep holding until the power LED blinks red and blue. -
Wait for the update to complete.
The display will update its TV firmware first, then automatically reboot and update the MCU. The entire process takes about 4 minutes.
Do not interrupt the firmware upgrade process:
-
Do not touch the display (to avoid touch recalibration).
-
Do not disconnect power.
-
Do not remove the USB stick.
If the update is successful, the display will reboot automatically.
Troubleshooting
-
If the LED does not blink red and blue, ensure the USB stick is formatted correctly and the firmware folder is in the root directory.
-
If the update fails or the display does not reboot, remove the USB stick, power off the display, and try again.
-
