Changing the background image of displays

A custom background image (wallpaper) allows you to personalise your i3CONNECT display to match your classroom, office branding, or specific meeting needs. You can update the wallpaper directly on the screen using a USB drive or remotely change it through i3CONNECT Cortex.

Before you start

  • Ensure your image is in JPG or PNG format.

  • If updating directly on the screen, have a USB storage device ready with the image file.

  • If using Cortex, ensure you have access as a Cortex user to that display; check with your admin.

Troubleshooting

  • USB not detected: Ensure the USB port is enabled in the Admin settings. Some managed devices may have USB ports disabled for security.

  • Image not appearing in Cortex: Wallpapers uploaded in the settings menu are global. If an image doesn't appear, try refreshing the data using the Refresh Data button at the top right of the Cortex dashboard.

  • Persistent vs. Default: Remember that Custom wallpapers are persistent and will remain even if you change the Studio theme. Default wallpapers will automatically change whenever you switch themes.

  • Managed restrictions: If you cannot change the wallpaper, your device may be restricted by a Cortex configuration profile. Contact your IT administrator to request a change.
