Cortex (client): 3.15.0 release notes

Version

3.15.0

New Features

Deeplinking (App Links) preferences in Cortex

Administrators can now choose, per app, whether web links open in that app or in the browser. This fixes cases where a link opens an app such as YouTube instead of the browser, for example after the app updates through the Play Store.

Cortex Web lists the apps on a device that can handle web links, each with a switch. Enabled means links open in the app. Disabled means links open in the browser. The setting is applied to the device and to all users on it. The device reports its apps and their link states to Cortex Web, then applies any change made there.

Requires Android 12L (API level 32) or higher. This is not yet supported when user profiles are enabled. Available with Cortex (web) 3.4.1 and i3Feature Service 1.17.0.

Screen sharing app selection

Cortex can now apply and report the selected screen sharing app.
Please note that this feature is dependent on still to be released firmware versions

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash (ANR) caused by a foreground service not stopping in time, seen on ELM2 after firmware 2.0.0
