The Canvas has a AC out on the left side of the screen. It is possible to connect an external device and give power from the screen to this device. The port has a 100-240V output and supports up until 2 ampere (so up to 440W).
If you turn off the screen or put the screen in standby, the external device will be cut off from the power. The same should work if you put the screen on. If the external device supports "Power on when power becomes available" it will turn on the external device when the screen is turned on.
The device will receive a "hard" shutdown when you turn off the screen while it is connected via this AC out port. We advise you to turn shutdown the external device before you turn off the screen.
