Share your computer screen in a Teams call on Aspen 4 MTR Bundle using AllSync

You can intuitively share your computer screen during a Microsoft Teams meeting using AllSync on the Aspen 4 MTR Bundle. This way, everyone can see the same things you see, whether they’re in the room or remote.

These instructions are specifically for the Aspen 4 MTR Bundle. Any of the i3CONNECT displays can be used with a Microsoft Teams Rooms camera, but instructions are different. See this article for general MTR use.

Instructions: Share your screen with AllSync

Make sure your computer is on the same WiFi network as the Aspen 4 MTR Bundle.

  1. (Optional) Book the room you wish to use as a Teams Meeting.

  2. Start the Teams meeting by tapping on Join on the display.

  3. When you wish to share your screen, press on the grippers square-ellipsis-vertical-regular.png on the left or right of the screen to open the side-menu.

  4. Tap the Share Screen tile in the top-right of the side-menu to open the AllSync app.

  5. Follow the instructions on screen to cast to the display using any AllSync casting options.

Once sharing: using the audience screen

A pop-up showing a miniature version of the Teams call will appear above your screen. This is called Picture-in-Picture of your Teams call, and you can tap on anything in the miniature Teams window to interact with it. It will show a mirror image of the content you are currently sharing to the display

  1. If you wish to only see the attendees, tap on the grid icon border-all-regular.png on the bottom of the Teams window and select users-solid.png People only. Then tap outside that settings window, but within the Teams window to return to the call view.

  2. You can resize the Teams pop-up by tapping and dragging the arrow-up-right-and-arrow-down-left-from-center-solid.png resize ball to the right of the Teams pop-up.

  3. You can reposition the Teams pop-up by tapping and dragging the arrows-up-down-left-right-solid.png reposition ball to the right of the Teams pop-up.

  4. You can hide the Teams pop-up by tapping on circle-xmark-solid.png hide to the right of the Teams pop-up

Stop sharing your screen, to return to video-calling

  1. Return to the call by going to the circle-ellipsis-solid.png More options ball to the right of the Teams pop-up

  2. Choose the expand-wide-regular.png Return to Teams button. This will stop the sharing of the display automatically so that everyone sees each other in the call.

Tapping on circle-xmark-solid.png hide does not end the call. If you hid the Teams pop-up, open the side-menu, press on the house-regular.png Home icon at the bottom, then press on the Teams Rooms tile to return to the call and end the screen sharing.

Troubleshooting

  • No Join button or missing meeting? Double-check that the room is added as the location and “Teams Meeting” is toggled on in Outlook.

  • Can’t see AllSync or Share Screen tile? Ensure you’re using an Aspen 4 MTR Bundle and your device is on the same WiFi network.

  • Pop-up won’t close or call won’t end? Use the Home icon in the side-menu, then select the Teams Rooms tile to return and end the call.
