Zoom modes: framing participants with Camera 2

i3CONNECT Camera 2 has multiple zoom modes that recognise participants in the meeting and switch to the right mode to capture optimally. By default the ‘Auto-framing’ mode is selected.

Change zoom mode

To change the zoom mode, go to the i3CONNECT Studio settings app on the i3CONNECT screen and select the desired mode.

Zoom modes

  • Fullscreen: Captures full view of camera, no zoom used. Ideal for large audiences & auditoriums.

  • Auto-framing: Captures all people in the meeting room in one shot, even if they are not talking.

  • Voice tracking: Captures people who are talking in the meeting room. People who are silent will not be contained in the view

  • Smart gallery: Will make a separate frame for each person in the meeting room and show these individual frames next to one another as a group. When there are more than 6 attendees the view returns to Fullscreen mode. This mode only works with a max resolution of 1080p and may look lower in resolution.

When no person is recognised, the view will zoom out to Fullscreen mode.

Changes in zoom modes, varying people in the space, or movement in the space will take a few seconds to occur (5 to 8 seconds). This is to achieve a calmer transition.
